Lunch Box Stickers
A survey by the Food Standards Agency found that 9 out of 10 children take packed lunches to school that contain too much saturated fat, sugar and salt. Few children are enthusiastic about healthy eating - especially when it comes to their school lunch box however focusing on variety not only makes lunch boxes more interesting, but also means that children enjoy a balanced lunch that helps to provide the energy and nutrients they need to grow, play, learn and stay healthy. Include one portion of vegetables or salad, one portion of fruit, one portion of milk or dairy item, one portion of protein source and one portion of starchy food. To encourage youngsters to eat healthily and to remind parents to pack a nutritious lunch, please ring for a sheet of "lunch box stickers"!
