<< Back About Produced in Kent
Produced in Kent was formed in November 2005 having previously been known as Kentish Fare. We are a not-for-profit membership organisation funded through a joint venture between Hadlow College and Kent County Council.
We are governed by a Board of Directors comprising representatives from Kent County Council, Hadlow College and Produced in Kent members. Board meetings are held quarterly and an Annual General Meeting is held annually. Our Patron is Amanda Cottrell, a former High Sheriff of Kent.
Our Role
Our role is to promote local and seasonal produce and provide support and services to our Members through the following strategic objectives which are reviewed annually as part of our strategic review:
· Supporting and providing services to members
· Developing and stimulating the market for Kentish products in the public and private sectors
· Promoting Kentish produce
· Developing a brand which means value to the members and quality and provenance to the public
Operationally, Produced in Kent is run on a day-to-day basis by a team of four whose key responsibilities are strategic planning, management and development of members, business development, PR, marketing and event management. We are located at Hadlow College in Kent.
