Expansion East Kent ( EXEK)
Want to start or expand a business in the districts of Canterbury, Dover, Shepway or Thanet but don't have the capital? The Expansion East Kent scheme may be able to help.
We have £35 million available in the form of 0% interest loans to invest in East Kent
To apply for investment support from Expansion East Kent you must be:
- a sole trader, partnership, limited company or a not for profit business and be providing employment – either creating or safeguarding jobs in the East Kent area, (Canterbury, Dover, Shepway and Thanet districts).
You should only apply if your investment proposal can demonstrate:
- the need for financial support to go ahead.
- that your business viable, has good growth potential and be self-sustaining by the completion of the investment.
- that you are able to access other funding sources.

Leader - What can it do for your business?
