With stunning, polished marble floors, soaring 12 foot windows and a sea view balcony, we believe that The Orangery restaurant is the finest dining venue in Thanet. Designed by Andrew Sherrington, and set beside Smiths Court Hotel, the bay windows have a great view across the bandstand and Oval lawns, and out over the sea. Seated in the restaurant, you can experience great cuisine while staring out over spectacular JMW Turner sunsets.
As we are overlooking the sea, and are surrounded by farmland, our chefs are committed to using fresh, local produce.
Each of our chefs, Head Chef Daniel Johnson, Sous Ben Dunk and Commis Naithan King, specialise in transforming seasonal local raw ingredients into delicious dishes.
We run an a la carte menu alongside a set-price table d’hote every evening, and these menus are redesigned in line with seasonality. The table d’hote menu is also offered for lunch, alongside bar snacks and sandwiches. Finally, we offer our famous Sunday carvery from 12pm to 3pm every Sunday.
We can also provide excellent bespoke menus and service for all types of functions. Birthday parties, anniversaries, christenings and weddings are all available, and The Orangery is also licensed to conduct wedding ceremonies and civil ceremonies.
