The annual Tenterden Folk Festival takes place over the weekend of the first Saturday of October. The festival starts on Thursday with a fundraising concert. There are numerous events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday including barn dance or ceilidh, children’s events, story telling for adults and children, concerts, craft fair, street stall, exhibitions, dance displays, family events, folk clubs, Morris dancers, Appalachian dancers, Scottish and Irish dancers, music sessions, procession, street theatre, West Gallery music, workshops, showcases and other folk events. On Sunday events include a folk club, Morris dancers and workshops.

“We just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed the festival and to thank you for giving us so many opportunities to perform. There was such a great atmosphere we felt welcome and really part of it all. We also enjoyed listening to some great performances at the concerts and in the singarounds. A wonderful festival ”
