Edible Culture Diversify

We have opened a new section of our garden shop that includes houseplants and environmentally sound garden products. We thought now is good time to diversify and invest. Our nursery had a big spread in the RHS Garden magazine at the height of lockdown. We have since then seen a lot of interest in what we do. We are trying to get POSIpot up and running again but we hit a wall when the company we use for manufacture closed due to a serious Covid outbreak.

New to this summer Edibleculture has an interesting new space called The Greenhouse. We spent lockdown delivering garden goods and looking at how we could reinforce our environmental ethics and offer original products to make our home and gardens a true green haven.

  • houseplants sold in our own POSIpot plastic pot replacement system. These plants are available wholesale to PiNK members as well as to the public, alongside plants we have a range of Burgon and Ball and RHS house plant pots.
  • award winning super tough recycled and recyclable wheelbarrows from Lashers, we have a couple of high viz barrows designed for Network Rail which you will definitely never lose in your garden.
  • Vigo cider/fruit presses and associated equipment like crushers and pulpers. We can offer loads of advice about cider production
  • DuraOcean® garden chairs and tables. The chairs are made from recycled fishing net plastic and legs made from eco sourced Eucalyptus. Very comfortable and can be left out in the rain.

As well as expanding our perennial section we are taking orders for fruit trees for the winter including complete orchards, when we install orchards, we use plastic free rabbit guards and ties. Year on year we are planting more mixed heritage orchards that include quince, damson, gage and Kent cob.
