at Kent Business School (Sibson building, Canterbury campus)
Friday 11 January 2019 from 07:45 – 14:00hrs.
This event is organised by Kent Business School, in partnership with the IOD Kent, FSB Kent/Medway and Locate in Kent, as well as sponsors Crowe, Cripps, South Eastern Rail and Malcolm Hollister. Kent Messenger is our official media partner on the day.
The Kent Business Summit is an annual event where over 300 Kent business leaders, government representatives, MPs and academics gather to discuss increased cooperation to ensure sustainable economic growth for the County. The 2019 summit takes place in the lead-up to the UK leaving the EU on the 29th of March. Kelly Tolhurst MP, Rosie Duffield MP, Sir Michael Fallon MP and Roger Gale MP have confirmed their attendance so far.
The summit programme reflects the 2018 Kent Business Summit outcomes, as well as identified priority areas for the county. Short presentations by a host of regional, national and international speakers give way to round table discussions on the Kent transport infrastructure, attracting business and visitors to the Garden of England, innovation & productivity and skills development. A summit action plan will be made available post-event and shared with relevant government bodies, business support organisations and lobby groups. Its implementation will be monitored by the summit partners throughout 2019.
