A solo exhibition which features the work of Helena Safari, a multidisciplinary Czech artist now based in Folkestone featuring vibrant works of art that combine embroidery and paint. Helena developed a love of needlework as a child whilst watching her mother create tapestries. In her artworks, Helena users a variety of threads and fabrics to create intricate designs on canvas before adding layers of paint to bring her pieces to life. The result is a mesmerising blend of texture and colour; her works have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, captivating audiences with their intricate details and stunning beauty.

Gallery 2

A solo exhibition by Gordon Lewns whose paintings are set mainly amongst the marshes, boats and big skies of north Kent. For many years Gordon went armed with a camera, so in picking up paintbrushes after a long career in the shipping world his photographic eyes showed in the composition of his pictures. Gordon served as Chairman and President of the Canterbury Society of Art. He was a very accomplished oil painter and his lifelong love of sailing and the sea is evident in many of his marine pictures and evocative landscapes.

Entry to both exhibitions is free of charge . All paintings are for sale.
