29th-31st March 2024
A celebration of food and drink. Hand-picked exhibitors from Kent, and the neighbouring counties, make these free festivals landmark events on the foodies' calendar.
5-6 Victoria Parade, Broadstairs, UK
Each year, this well-established festival brings together almost 100 of the region’s best artisan food and drink producers. They offer an eclectic array of local and regional delicacies, seasoned with a peppering of workshops and demonstrations.
There is a distinctly green theme in 2024 with junior and adult planting alongside hands-on craft and cookery session. Children can try their hands at winding willow, screen printing and rolling sushi.
The festival’s Easter bonnets are going regal with drop-in sessions of making paper crowns, suitable for even the youngest family member.
All the children’s sessions are free-to-attend, as is the event itself.
‘As a not-for-profit company,’ says Event Director, Jo Scott, ‘we continually look to raise funds. Our online draw offers the chance to win amazing prizes: stainless steel kitchenware, a gourmet foraging day, a stay in Broadstairs and supper in a harbourside restaurant.”
This gem of a food event has a unique location, situated on Victoria Gardens, with glorious views across Viking Bay. The adjacent bandstand café will have a programme of afternoon music with additional seating.
With live music, entertainment, workshops, regional food and drink, Broadstairs Easter Festival offers something for everyone.
