Come and join us for a day of mini-beastie fun! A day of exploring Brogdale and discovering fantastic bugs & mini beasts.

Orchard Bug Explorers

Hunt for and collect bugs in the orchards, meadow and wildlife garden. See where they live in the wild! Learn all about these interesting creatures and why they are so important to us! You will be led by our performing leader who will help you find the best beasties at Brogdale!

Close Encounters with the LIVE BUGS!

Book your Live Bug Show time and meet the giant insects & more! 1 Hour Show (Book, then spend the whole day discovering, exploring and having fun!)

Meet an impressive collection of Mega Bugs, including giant cockroaches, millipedes, Vinegaroons and Stick insects.

Meet the infamous Peanut the Pygmy Hedgehog!

The displays are educational, fun and packed full of weird, wonderful and cute animals, that children wouldn’t usually get a chance to meet including snails, scorpions, beetle larvae, tarantulas and lots more.

The displays allow children to become involved and close up to a variety of animals either by touching, holding or just by looking.

Visit the Orchards – self guided tour
Go on a self guided walk and explore the National Fruit Collection orchards with the children. See if you can spot anything interesting on the way.

Outdoor Craft!

Make your very own bugs and beasts to take home using model clay and scavenged beastie bits!

All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Not Suitable for children under 4 yrs.

Brogdale has a fruit tree nursery, farm shop and café on site. (All closed on Mondays)

Brogdale has unlimited free parking, accessible toilets and a café.

Dogs not permitted in the orchards at anytime.
