Goody Ales, Braggs Lane, Herne, Herne Bay, UK
Ollie will also play some solo numbers. Firkins at Full Moon in April celebrates the Pink Moon is named after a species of early blooming wildflower. It is also called the Egg Moon and the Sprouting grass moon as this is when the geese lay their eggs and the birds come back from migration. So why not come along to enjoy some delicious freshly brewed beer and hear some great music? Unfortunately, Peter will be having an operation on his shoulder on 19th April so we will not be able to attend this Firkins at Full Moon. The legendary Tammy, Elaine, Izzie and Paul will be serving and we hope you all have a wonderful time.
We have quite a few things in the pipeline. Firkins at Full Moon in April is on Friday and this Sunday 21st April, we have the Cruse Marathan Walk. We have Tammy’s partner, the strong Adam walking along with 40 or so others, so please give them lots of support and encouragement. This is the walking version……. 26.2 miles around the Kent coast and finishing at the brewery for a well-earned beer. This is in aid of Cruse Bereavement Support. If you would consider sponsoring Adam, we have a Just Giving page Peter's Fundraising for Cruse Bereavement Support. The walk will start at 7am and the walkers aim arrive back at the brewery around 3:30pm – all welcome to cheer Adam and the other walkers in! We will have live music from James Skelton and food available so please join us for the party.
Also, on Saturday 27th April 4-6pm we have the St George play performed by members of the Dead Horse Morris. There will also be a charity walking group, in full costume, finishing at the brewery so please do say hello to the weird and wonderful!
Our Craft Easter Egg Hunt was a great success. Lots of eggs were found by the children and decorated beautifully. Well done Lilia for organising the event. We will be sending £100 from the egg hunt to Demelza Charity, a local children's charity. Look out for our next family event, a Treasure Hunt!
We are planning a quiz evening on Thursday 6th June in aid of The League of Friends of the Kent & Canterbury Hospital so if you are interested, please talk to one of us to book a table. Please be prepared to join a group if you are one or two people.
Children are very welcome, there is plenty of space for them to enjoy themselves but we would like to remind you that you will be responsible for supervising them at all times. We do not permit any other drinks or food onto the premises.
In the meantime, we are open for takeaway and deliveries. The brewery bar/shop is open weekdays 4pm - 7pm and Saturdays 10am – 6pm.
