Green Social Prescribing

Tuesday 7th September 5.30pm via Zoom

Learn about Green Social Prescribing with guest speaker Professor Jules Pretty

This month we invite you to attend our talk with guest speaker, Jules Pretty, Professor of Environment and Society at the University of Essex, who will be highlighting the benefits of nature-based interventions and how these also reduce the pressure on health and social care systems. Jules has held a number of different roles including Head of the Department of Biological Sciences, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Science and Engineering) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor. He also was the Director of the Sustainable Agriculture Programme at the International Institute for Environment and Development.

This talk will be held on Zoom (online platform), with a Q&A session towards the end. You will receive the Zoom link and a reminder email will be sent closer to the event. If you do not receive an email with the Zoom link, please check your spam or junk folders. This event will be recorded.

Communigrow is committed to offering free events and opportunities to all, but as we depend on funding this is not an easy task. You could support our current campaign to organise and deliver Horticultural and Wildlife Workshops for Young People. Our goal is £500 and we have raised £130 so far – if you would like to help us to reach our target please click here. A small donation will help us to make it happen: £5, £10 or any amount you are comfortable with will make a difference. Please share the campaign with your friends. Thank you.

We are a small educational charity providing opportunities to learn about growing food in a sustainable way while nurturing nature.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
