Summer Plant Fair at Hole Park on Sunday 22nd August 2021

This year’s plant fair will bring together a wide range of small, independent nurseries run by specialist growers who are passionate about the plants they produce. The nurseries provide a whole spectrum of plants including cottage-garden favourites, shade-loving plants, alpines, trees and shrubs, succulents and many more.

The plant fair will also provide an opportunity to receive advice from these enthusiastic and knowledgeable nursery-owners and to discover some of the unusual and must-have plants they grow.

Hole Park’s Head Gardener, Quentin Stark, is also the ‘Plant Doctor’ at the roadshow events and said: “I have been a plantsman and professional gardener since I left school and head Gardener at Hole Park House and Gardens for over 20 years.

“At the Plant Fairs I will be answering horticultural questions such as ‘what is wrong with my plant?’ or ‘what will grow well in my garden?’ I often help with plant identification and advise on which plants are suitable for a particular garden. We also encourage visitors to bring photos and live material to help with plant identification and plant problems.”

Gates will be open from 11am to 4pm. Entrance £9 which includes the opportunity to walk round the award-winning gardens and woodlands at Hole Park. The tearoom will also be open offering light lunches, cream teas and homemade cake with a choice of hot or cold drinks.
