Enjoy the British countryside like you've never seen it before...
Bore Place, Bore Place Road, Chiddingstone, Edenbridge, Kent TN8 7AR, UK
Over the past few weeks, groups of young people with SEN have been busy creating a number of fantasic art installation pieces for you to spot along the trail, highlighting the importance of British wildlife and introducing you to some of the animals that live at Bore Place.
One of our students is studying for the Gold Arts Award, and as part of Unit 2, Leadership, she has developed and written lesson plans for creative projects to be taught by the teachers at Bore Place. The projects and lesson plans were designed to be accessible for all abilities. The project has developed and grown, supported by the Youth Arts Leadership Network funding, and Cas Holmes, textile artist, has supported and guided the process. The final installation piece on the trail, 'Portrait of Nature at Bore Place', was designed and created by this student.
After your walk, you can enjoy some light refreshments and try your hand at claywork, making your own woodland creature to take home with you. We are delighted to be welcoming Same Sky to run this workshop, who also ran the workshops for the installations you will see along your walk.
This FREE, funded event is made possible by the Arts Council, Let's Create Jubilee Fund supported by the National Lottery, and administered by Kent Community Foundation.
