40th Birthday Bash for Macknade

MACKNADE TURNS 40 YEARS OLD! Award-winning Faversham food hall, Macknade Fine Foods, is celebrating its 40^th birthday this June. The business has been in the same family for sixth generations, but it was not until 1979 that they began retailing – opening Macknade Farm Shop, which later became known as Macknade Fine Foods. What started life as a tent in a field on the family farm is now a 10,000sqft food hall, delicatessen, café & butcher employing over 80 people in the local area. On June 28^th, Macknade is celebrating this milestone with a party on The Deck – a new outdoor dining area open everyday throughout the summer. There will be a bar offering plenty of local drinks, including cocktails from Faversham’s very own Mightyfinethings, and food reflecting Macknade’s Italian & Kentish heritage. There will also be live music from local five-piece band, Coco, who will be playing a whole host of soul, funk & disco classics from the last 40 years and beyond.
