A historical moment for Love Beer Bars

The UK's first and only fully restored ex-MOD Land Rover Series3, developed into a portable bar available for private and corporate functions.

Speaking on behalf of Love Beer Bars, owner Charles said: “We purchased Tigga – the base vehicle – during the 2020 Pandemic. Covid hit the festival and events sector hard, so we used this time to develop our new venture and fully restore the Land Rover to give it a new lease of life. The fold-out bar we have secreted in the back of this heritage vehicle is a dream project for us.”

The Beeries3 comes with an impressive history as Charles continues "We traced its history and repainted it back in its original factory colour of royal blue. It was important to us to have the full history of such an impressive vehicle. Seeing it start up, and drive again was a huge milestone. Now we are weeks away to launching and Tigga can continue serving its country!"

Built in 1975, The Beeries3 started life in the MOD. By the early 80’s Tigga served at the Campbell military-based, a fuel stockpile for the Navy before moving to Rosyth where it helped decommission nuclear submarines both for the UK military and NATO. Following its time serving the Navy, it had one owner that kept an extremely detailed service history and had multiple off-road adventures throughout Scotland.

Equipped with several hand pumps (made from Tigga’s original features such as a gear stick) The Beeries3 is a fold-out bar specifically designed to deal with the pressures of outdoor events. Its custom-made beer chiller is capable of dispensing over 500 pints per hour - it really is the go anywhere, do anything mobile bar.
