Anno Rums take a Dark, Golden and Pink Turn
Anno Distillers are bringing out three delicious new rums to suit the discerning drinker. Fermented and distilled in their distillery in Marden, Kent, the rums reflect a world of smuggling, exploring and tradition.
Anno’s Dark Spiced Rum, Owler, illustrates a lamplit smuggler’s
scene. With a base of black treacle and the distinctive flavour of tonka beans,
this complex spirit has notes of vanilla, raisin and burned sugar with a long
spicy finish.
Behind the hedgerows of the British countryside, Anno has selected sweet, pale
rhubarb, grown in darkness, for its Candlelight Pink Rhubarb Rum. Fresh
and sweet, this beautiful rum has a zesty ginger kick and a crisp finish.
Finally, Anno introduces Lady Franklin, it's Golden Botanical Rum.
Spicy with citrus notes and subtle aromas of brown sugar and tropical fruit,
this rum contains a melange of botanicals. It tells the story of Lady Jane
Franklin: adventurer, botanist and reformer. Her exciting, heartbreaking tale begins
with mountain pepper from Tasmania where she shook up high society, and
culminates with the scurvy grass of Out Stack, where she travelled to be nearer
her husband, Sir John Franklin, lost on his quest for the Northwest Passage.
