April at Goody Ales

Tomorrow, Thursday 6^th April is our Firkins at Full Moon in April and we have the wonderfully entertaining Luna Barge – please see attached flier. It will be a great evening, all welcome! We will have at least five cask ales on tap from the cask including our Easter special GOOD FRIDAY, a 4.5% full flavoured light amber bitter, a beer to die for! A variety of locally produced wines, juices, ciders etc will be available from the bar and chilli sauces etc to take away or to have on one of our delicious stone baked pizzas. Firkins at Full Moon in April celebrates the Pink Moon - please wear something pink! April's full moon, the pink moon, is named after a species of early blooming wildflowers.

This Saturday afternoon, Easter Saturday, we have a great treat lined up. John Doggerel and the Bad Poets, a trio playing a wide range of songs playing a variety of acoustic instruments including the mandolin and harmonica – lots of energy, lots of fun and lots of harmony! So far, our solar panels have produced 2MWh of energy equivalent of planting 1.11 tree and saving 2t CO2 emissions.

On Sunday 23^rd April, Tammy, Peter and myself will be attempting the London Marathon! This is the walking version……. 26.2 miles around the Kent coast and finishing at the brewery for well-earned beer. This is not just crazy madness but in aid of Cruse Bereavement Support. Our walk will start at 7am and we hope to arrive back at the brewery around 3:30pm We will have the Dead Horse and the Broomdashers performing their world famous play of story of St George and the Dragon and the Turkish Knight from 3pm. Food will be available, made by one of our generous supporters for those that would like it for a small donation, served from 4pm

It is great to see so many people coming to the brewery to probably the biggest beer garden in Kent, as well as under our new covered area with our cask fire pit and inside the Cathedral Bar, enjoying delicious freshly brewed beer! We are very lucky to have such a spacious area.

Children are very welcome, there is plenty of space for them to enjoy themselves but we would like to remind you that you will be responsible for supervising at all times.

We do not take bookings but you are welcome to bring your own outside chairs and table. We do not permit any drinks or food to be brought onto the premises.

In the meantime, we are open for takeaway and deliveries. The brewery shop is open weekdays 4pm - 7pm and Saturdays 10am – 6pm.
