After a summer of successful vineyard tours and wine tasting experiences, the 2019 harvest is fast approaching. This will be the first year on the Estate when all three vineyard sites will be ready to be harvested, working towards the potential to produce upwards of 250,000 bottles of English still and sparkling wine per year.
The winery has undergone an expansion project, with thanks to funding from the East Kent LEADER programme, to accommodate additional tanks and a new Inertys press in order to cope with the increased productivity.
There is still an opportunity to visit Simpsons’ Wine Estate on Friday 4th October for the final ‘Sunset Session’ tour and tasting experience in partnership with Macknade Fine Foods. Enjoy a spectacular walk through the vines at dusk, followed by a tasting of exquisite wines from the Estate accompanied by perfectly paired platters of local produce from Macknade.
