Canterbury Brewers and Distillers are delighted to have been awarded a number of different accolades in the World Spirit Awards including:

Gold – World Rum Awards – Smuggler Sam’s White Rum

Silver – World Vodka Awards 2024 – Canterbury Vodka

Bronze – World Gin Awards 2024 – Japanese Jin

Category Winner and Gold – World Whiskies Awards 2024 – New Make – Foundry Capstan

As we are so early into our whisky production journey we are truly honoured and inspired by these awards – they really give us the confidence for future projects and the 4 other new whiskies that will be joining the Capstan in the next few years.

Jodie has been representing for women in business for many years, working alongside Jon, and is keen to continue supporting the role of women in the brewery and distillery market as well as in hospitality. This commitment has been recognised by the Kent Women in Business awards as Jodie has been announced as a finalist. We keep our fingers crossed for her at the awards on 8^th March

Another batch of speciality mushrooms (to use in the brew pub restaurant) will be grown in the upcoming weeks in a dedicated “mushroomery”! Using the waste water and CO2, as well as spent grain from the distilling process – you will be able to try the mushrooms when they are featured on our menu.

Our Foundry Black is back on tap at the brewpub – a session cask beer at 3.6% - a gorgeous malt flavour – a favourite amongst out guests.
