Babra Crowfunding to Cook Crisis Meals

Paul Babra of Canterbury Curry club is raising £6,660 to cook 3,600 meals for people across Canterbury facing a food crisis, including children, the elderly, the vulnerable, the homeless & our NHS. Fighting food poverty across the UK Throughout the current pandemic, Paul has been doing his bit to help the NHS by delivering free meals to hospitals across Margate, Canterbury and Ashford. He's partnered with Open Kitchens to help even more people in the community who need support through these difficult times. Every day in our community there are parents unable to feed their children, elderly people living in fear, wondering where their next meal is coming from, NHS workers skipping meals due to long and difficult shifts, the homeless unable to access food or shelter and the vulnerable unable to care for themselves without anyone able to go in and support them. Covid-19 caused our industry to collapse, preventing us from opening for months, but we're fighting back by volunteering our time and kitchen to cook meals for those in need across our community. YOU CAN DONATE HERE We're not alone either, there are many kitchens across the UK working for free to feed their community as part of the Open Kitchens initiative.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, your kindness and generosity is making a huge difference to many people in our community every day!

We can't wait to see you again on the other side, but for now, and more than ever we need to come together, so please dig deep and donate to help feed those in need.

With love,

Canterbury Curry Club
