Bean Smitten Expands its Business
Bean Smitten has enjoyed award success this year with its Classic Blend winning the highest Great Taste award of 3 Stars in September, then going on to become a finalist in the Golden Fork Awards in October, not to mention it’s famous Revive Blend gaining a Final place in the TOKA 2021 over the summer. So it would come as no surprise that the company has more good news in the way of an expansion.
November was a busy milestone month for the coffee roastery, they said goodbye to their first coffee roaster, a 6kg Giesen, and upgraded it to a 15kg! They also took on adjacent storage facilities and took on their first full-time team member.
“It’s sad to say goodbye to our trusty 6 kilo roaster. She’s been with us from the start and we’ve built the business around her. That’s far from being the end of the story though! We’ve just taken delivery of a brand new 15 kilo roaster and together, with our additional storage facilities we are excited to share our coffees with a wider audience across Kent, Sussex and beyond!” says Darren, Founder.
The coffee roastery, that straddles the Kent/Sussex border have built a steadily growing business over the past 7 years, supplying cafes, restaurants and home consumers with freshly roasted, sustainable coffee.
