Support our Garden for Wildlife
Brogdale Collections are looking for some help in our new Garden for Wildlife. We would like some keen gardening volunteers to help us keep this valuable resource in full bloom. The Garden for wildlife has been created to encourage wildlife to visit Brogdale. With a variety of different habitats, bug hotels and food all made to create a great environment for wildlife visitors.
The garden has also been designed to be used as an outdoor classroom, learning environment and educational resource for schools, children and visitors young & old to learn about and discover plants, habitat and wildlife.
Visit the different habitats, taking time to investigate the different sights, sounds and smells of the garden. You can also learn more by following the special information boards throughout the garden. In the Garden for Wildlife you will find: Bee hotels, pond & bog habitats, raised beds, compost area, rock habitat area, wildflower meadow area and sensory garden.
Our volunteers meet every Friday morning to carry out a range of tasks to keep the garden at its best. If you would like to learn about introducing wildlife to your garden, spend time in a great environment and support this worthy cause please get in touch; Operations@brogdalecollections.org
