Brogdale seek volunteers
Garden for Wildlife volunteers
Last year we completed our fully funded garden for wildlife. Our keen volunteers meet every Friday to keep the raised beds, meadow, pond and bog areas in ideal condition to encourage wildlife to visit. Task include general light gardening duties, weeding, watering to more physical heavy lifting. Coffee and biscuits always on hand, along with the opportunity to join us at any events over the summer.
14th April Hanami Festival
This is a traditional Japanese celebration of spring blossom. We have lots of food tastings (including Wagamamas and Mr Miagie), sword demonstrations, dancing and Japanese cultural displays. The public can enjoy the spectacular blossom then picnic in the orchards. We need volunteer stewards to help on the day and some for the day before to set up. Tasks include event set up, helping the public and car park duties.
19th, 20th, 21st April Family Easter weekend
A three day event with traditional family activities including Easter egg hunt, live hatching chicks, feeding baby animals and kids crafts. Tasks include event set up, helping the public and car park duties.
