15th February 2023
Before the infamous Brogdale Blossom tours begin (in April) we have plenty happening here on site. Next month sees us holding our brand-new Foraging Floristry Wreath-Making Course, where attendees will not only make a stunning spring wreath in time for mother’s day or easter but learn what foliage they can forage, what’s best used fresh and what techniques they can use for drying out flowers at home. Definitely not one to be missed. Something else new for February and March, orchard pass holders can bag themselves a 10% discount on all Brogdale produce sold at Tiddly Pomme Farm Shop. You can find craft ciders, jams, and vinegars as well as interesting apple juices pressed from varieties from the National Fruit Collection such as Blenheim Orange and Egremont Russet. But that’s not the only perk of being an Orchard Pass Holder, Country Practice, Mad Cat Brewery and Kawaka Artisan also offer 10% discounts on products, whilst Grow will give you £40 off one of their ‘mini orchard packs’.
If we still haven’t convinced you to visit us or become an orchard pass holder, why not get the company you work for to book in for a corporate social action day and do some snooping through them? Home to the National Fruit Collections, we are encouraging businesses to do their bit for the local community, farming heritage, and the environment, with an outdoor volunteering team-building day. Staff can choose from activities such as fruit picking, thinning apple trees, or even tree pruning to name a few. A day out of the workplace is guaranteed to improve staff social, leadership, and teamwork skills while making a local social impact. Company directors: you may even fall in love with Brogdale Farm, make it an annual work visit, or better still consider becoming our new Charity Chairperson – a vacancy we are desperate to fill! Can you or someone you know spare some time to help with future decision-making at Brogdale Collections Charity?
