Celebrate Ginuary with an exclusive dinner at The Corner House Restaurants
With Ginuary now a thing, Matt Sworder, chef owner of The Corner House restaurants, will be sharing his passion for gin at a very special dinner at both the Minster and Canterbury restaurants on Wednesday 17 January.
Gin lovers are in for a treat with three of the four courses carefully matched with a locally-produced gin, including the limited edition new Bacchus 2016 gin from Chapel Down. The dinner will start at 6.45pm with sharing boards at the table served with the oriental spiced Ophir with Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic.
Matt says, “As a gin fan myself, I’ve always made sure we have an interesting gin menu at The Corner House and what better time to do a special dinner than during Ginuary? The dinner gives us an opportunity to celebrate the versatility of the spirit and demonstrate how the different flavours of artisan gins can enhance a culinary experience. It’s going to be a fantastic evening for anyone who loves gin and great food.”
All the dishes and gins will be introduced by a member of The Corner House team and the menu will include the following:
For the table
Chicken & chorizo terrine, marinated olives & monkfish scampi with curried mayonnaise
*
Beetroot cured salmon, cucumber jelly and horseradish cream
*
Stour Valley venison loin, dauphinoise potatoes, braised red cabbage, roasted parsnip
*
Spiced pear and ginger upside-down cake, homemade honeycomb ice cream
The dinner will be priced at £55 per person and must be pre-booked by emailing or calling your preferred restaurant.
