Simply Ice Cream are a Kentish brand, based in Bonnington near Ashford. The small family run business have been batch making ice cream for the last 12 years, using only natural, fresh and local ingredients (where possible). Simply Ice Cream make a conscious effort to produce their ice cream in a sustainable way via the following business practices:
Packaging:
Each Simply Ice Cream tub is made using recyclable paper pots and plastic lids, which can be put into your household recycling bin (check that your local household waste provider accepts them).
Ingredients:
Simply Ice Cream are passionate about using local ingredients in their products, and supporting other local businesses. The milk and cream that goes into each tub of ice cream comes from Kent Dairy Co, whilst the fruit comes from Kentish Fruit. The brand are proud to say that 95% of the ingredients they use to make ice cream are sourced from Kentish suppliers. They make their own honeycomb, brown bread and crumble and use local brands Fudge Kitchen and The Wooden Spoon for their fudge and lemon curd varieties.
Logistics:
Simply Ice Cream make sure to consolidate their delivery routes in the most efficient way, to keep their carbon footprint down. They avoid unnecessary travel where possible, and devise a carefully thought out run route for their delivery driver to follow.
