Chartham Vineyard Shop Reopens This February with Tours, Tastings and Spring Events

What Wines Are Available to Try and Buy?

Every Saturday from 10.30 am, visitors can sample and purchase the latest releases, including three still wines: Bacchus 2023, Pinot Gris 2023 and Rosé 2023.

Alongside these are three sparkling wines: Blanc de Blancs 2022, Rosé de Noir 2022 and Blanc de Noir 2021.

For those unable to visit in person, all wines are available to order online via the vineyard website.

When Do Vineyard Tours Resume?

Guided Vineyard Tours and Tastings have also returned, running every Saturday at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm.

Each experience lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes a tasting of at least five wines. If the weather is unkind, visitors can enjoy Richard’s presentation, “A Year in the Vineyard,” followed by the tasting.

Tour and Tasting vouchers are available online, making an ideal gift for wine lovers.

What’s On at the Great Barn?

On 29th March, This Is My Theatre returns to the Great Barn with a performance of Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë’s timeless classic.

The 7.00 pm performance has already sold out, and due to demand, an additional 3.00 pm matinee has been added. Wines will be available by the glass before the performance and during the interval.

What’s Happening in the Vineyard?

Winter work continues behind the scenes. Andy is currently focused on the essential task of pruning, shaping the vines for the growing season ahead.

Sheep will soon arrive to graze the grass and tidy the vineyard rows, naturally fertilising the soil as they go. Earlier in the winter, composted chicken manure was spread to further enrich soil microbiology and support vine health.
