Communigrow Activities in March & April

Communigrow is and horticultural and educational charity reconnecting people to places where their food comes from. Everyone is welcome to join us, learn new skills and grow local food in a sustainable way. Our Spring/Summer Program is here! Hands-on, bite-size, outdoor learning fun. • Session 2 (Ages 4 to 6) 11 a.m. Registration for 11.15 start. End 12.15

Book your place at only £2.50 per participating child with Naomi or Bonnie home-ed@communigrow.org.uk Mon March 16th Communigrow Talk: The Asian Hornet (10am-11am) New series of talks, workshops and courses running through spring and autumn on selected topics related to growing food. Sam Day is Kent Beekeepers' Asian hornet action team coordinator. While concern for her honeybees sparked an initial interest in the invasive Asian hornet, since learning more about them, it is the likely damage they will cause to other native pollinators, fruit and crop production and also the risk to human health that is more worrying now. Learn about the lifecycle of the hornets, where you're likely to see them – and what you should do when you do see one. Suggested donation to support educational activities: £5 per person. This is an opportunity to learn about the charity, our educational activities and enjoy a few hours outdoors.
