Consumable businesses win big in Kent

April the 24th will see the first Kent Food and Drink conference; delivered by Produced in Kent with a stellar line up of speakers the day is dedicated to the incredible diversity of high quality food and drink businesses in the region With a punchy speaker line up headed by none other than ‘Dr Food’, Professor David Hughes, the day will deliver insights from the venture capital successes of Chapel Down Vineyards, the export opportunities, positive PR strategies from an editor’s viewpoint and sound financial and legal advice. ‘With such a vibrant food and drink culture in our county it made sense that we facilitate the kind of event that will benefit the region’ explains Stephanie Durling, Produced in Kent Supremo ‘The opportunities open to the region are incredible, post Brexit may need a little clarity and that is something we are hoping to deliver’. The day is unfolding at the new Sibson building, home to business education at the University of Kent. ‘The award winning design of the building just lends itself to business networking events’ states Sarah Calcutt, conference delivery partner ‘we have an extensive exhibition area throughout the ground floor and will be utilising two of the incredible lecture theatres for conference and breakout training sessions’. Places are selling fast, in addition to the day of learning & inspiration there is a networking dinner the night before and a further drinks reception at the close of the conference event. “There is much to celebrate in Kent Food and Drink” confirms Stephanie
