The Corner House Restaurant has once again reached the final of the Taste of Kent Restaurant of the Year Award. The Minster restaurant won the award in 2015 and 2017 and now it is the Canterbury restaurant in the final.
Chef owner Matt Sworder is delighted with the news and is hoping that the team can make it a hat trick with a win for the second restaurant. “The restaurant scene in Kent just keeps on getting stronger and we’re once again up against some stiff competition. Regardless of the final outcome, it’s fantastic to have Canterbury in the running after less than two years of opening. It’s a huge pat on the back for our hardworking team who are taking the restaurant from strength to strength.”
The Corner House Canterbury is up against The Buoy & Oyster in Margate, The Carriage Restaurant in Faversham and The Mulberry Tree in Boughton Monchelsea.
2018 is a is a big year for The Corner House with the Minster restaurant celebrating its five year anniversary and Canterbury celebrating two years in business this summer.
