COSSACK STUNT RIDING WORLD CHAMPION TO PERFORM AT 2019 KENT COUNTY SHOW
The International Dzhigitovka Show will take centre stage at the Kent County Show on 5, 6, 7 July 2019 as the main ring attraction for the Show’s 90
th year.
The British Dzhigitovka Team, joined by current world champion Sergey Murugov and other national champions, will showcase their world class military and gymnastic skills, all from horseback, as they take to the main ring at the 90
th Kent County Show next year. Riding on Andalucian stunt horses, the team will thrill with flaming jumps, horseback archery, and human pyramids. The performers have trained with Russian Cossacks in the special style of trick riding, or dzhigitovka, to put on a fast-paced display of stunts. This will be the International Dzhigitovka Show’s first appearance at the Kent County Show.
Show Manager, Lucy Hegarty, said: ‘After having the Household Cavalry Musical Ride this year, we needed to find something to match the spectacle for our 90
th Show. The International Dzhigitovka Show will bring a touch of daring to the County Show and I’m sure our visitors will enjoy the incredible stunts the Cossack team will be performing.’
The Kent County Show is the region’s showcase event for farming, countryside, and rural life. The three day show brings together the best of the county. Equine and livestock displays, food halls, parades of vintage vehicles, the Garden Life Marquee, and Woodland Area provide plenty for the whole family and activities from K9 Aqua Sports means there’s something for the dog too.
The International Dzhigitovka Show will perform on all three Show days and will join displays and performances from the Royal British Legion Romford Marching Band, the ‘Spirit of Kent’ Spitfire flypast, and old favourite Titan the Robot.
