Docker Bakehouse and Brewery expansion at Folkestone Harbour Arm
We are excited to be moving into an entirely new space next to the renovated railway station at Folkestone Harbour. The new space is made of two shipping containers welded together.
After being hidden away for two years behind the blue hoarding we are now being let loose into a brand new space with windows, views and a huge new oven!
Over the past two years we have slowly been building up an amazingly supportive and loyal customer base who have battled through rain and wind to buy their weekly sourdough bread.
We are truly thankful to them and hope that they love the new space and new opening hours from the 24th March:
We’ll be open Wednesday to Saturday, 9am-3pm with fresh bread for sale every day.
We will continue to supply our loyal wholesale customers such as Folkestone Wholefoods,
Rocksalt, Chambers, Loaf, Orchard Lane, Hythe Brasserie and many more.
(Until the 24th March we will be open to sell bread from our existing container from 9am -12pm)
Background:
Docker was setup in March 2016 by Wesley Burden, Ben Thompson, Pete Nelson in a singl
shipping container at the Harbour. Their aim was to produce high quality sourdough bread and craft beers - products that are well suited to being made locally in small batches. Over time their customer base has grown with an extremely loyal local following. This expansion will allow them to employ more local people and widen their audience.
