There are not many pubs that go to the trouble of baking their own dog biscuits every day. Yet that’s what the kitchen team at The Kings Head in Wye do, which is why they get a paws up from their four-legged visitors, and the thumbs up from dog friendly organisation Paws on the Door.
Dogs are always made welcome in this bustling village pub, with water freely available and a cool courtyard for them to rest and relax.
It’s a good job because The Kings Head is right on the North Downs Way. It attracts lots of keen walkers, and their dogs, in need of refreshment either before or after a long day’s walking. However, with the rewards of breathtaking views across to Romney Marsh and the English Channel, it’s a walk well worth taking.
