29th July 2021
Preparing for our first member event since February 2020 did feel a little strange, but it was great to be able to welcome members, old and new to the site at Coachworks.
We moved to the Coachworks site during the first lockdown and have been looking forward to being able to use the space. The rain stopped but the wind meant a move from the courtyard to the Hot House, Coachworks event space. Having over 45 people together, the noisy chatter and general positivity was fantastic.
Sue Nelson, our new Board Chair welcomed everyone, and Floortje gave a whistle-stop update of what Produced in Kent has been up to and what we have planned. She was particularly keen to thank the members who have continued membership and are working with us to champion the food and drink sector.
Along with a chance to catch up with old friends and to make new contacts there was a chance to sample some members' products. Thank you to Garage Coffee, Musket Brewery, Woodchurch Wine, Biddenden for keeping everyone hydrated and Paul Babra of Karara for a great selection of tasty bites!
We look forward to running monthly events from September and meeting more of you. Members - if you are interested in hosting an event please get in touch: info@producedinkent.co.uk
