Foodari partner with Porchlight

odari Home Delivery are partnering with Porchlight to ensure more homeless and vulnerable people in Kent have somewhere safe to call home this Christmas. It’s been an extraordinary year. We’ve all been challenged like never before. But in these challenging times, we have seen people, charities and businesses do extraordinary things to help each other. This Christmas is no exception – and Foodari Home Delivery is supporting Porchlight to help ensure that homeless and vulnerable people in Kent have somewhere safe to call home. Porchlight is Kent’s largest charity for homeless and vulnerable people, supporting those with nowhere to go and no-one to turn to. Their impact is real – check out some life stories here. Demand for Porchlight’s help is increasing due to the economic and emotional effects of coronavirus. Job losses are leaving people unable to pay rent and facing eviction. Employment uncertainty and worries about housing, heating and food are also having devastating effects on people’s mental health. Porchlight, with Foodari’s support, is ensuring people don’t have to face these issues alone. Foodari Home Delivery is a fresh food business, supporting local farmers, and serving people across Kent. Launched in response to lockdown, it has evolved from simple veg boxes, to a whole range of exciting products and meal solutions to support the new normal. At the heart of their ethos is a commitment to all things local. Managing Director Jonathan Parker says: “Since the start of lockdown, our home delivery service has been on a mission to bring good, fresh food to everyone in our local Kent communities. This partnership means we can serve and support those who need it most, at such an important time of the year. We’re proud to work with such a great charity and humbled by the amazing work Porchlight does every day”. Foodari will be donating £5 from every one of their Christmas Turkey Boxes sold this season – so seasonal veg, award-winning turkeys and traditional trimmings come with a helping of knowing that our customers have helped people across Kent have a safe Christmas too.
