According to The Vegan Society, which this year celebrate their 75^th anniversary, the number of vegans in Great Britain quadrupled between 2014 and 2018. Veganism is clearly neither a recent fad, nor a fleeting one. Showcasing their correspondingly expanding family of vegan friendly premium confectionery, Fudge Kitchen is celebrating November’s World Vegan Month with plant-based aplomb this year, highlighting, in the spirit of World Vegan Month, how accessible veganism is, and how there is certainly no martyrdom required to live a vegan lifestyle. But, after exhaustive tweaking and trialing of classic recipes, imperceptibly ‘veganised’ with dairy alternatives. No mean task in the fickle business of authentic fudge making. November’s vegan lines will include: Sea Salted Caramel and Chocolate Classic, made with soya milk, and Vanilla Coconut, made with coconut milk; with a rolling fourth flavour taken from a growing list of vegan friendly slab fudges, that includes Maple Walnut, Rum Raisin, Chocolate Orange, Lemon Drizzle Cake, Traditional Toffee, Treacle Toffee, Peanut Butter Chocolate and Chocolate Hazelnut, which was FK’s inter-shop winner of the 2019 vegan-themed ‘New Year New Flavour’ annual competition, won by the Bath shop.
