Great Taste Award for Frasers Christmas Pudding!

Christmas has come early for Frasers of Egerton, with its Luxury Christmas Pudding scooping an award at this year’s prestigious Great Taste awards.

Organised by the Guild of Fine Food and recognised as a stamp of excellence by food lovers and retailers alike, Great Taste values taste above all else. This year’s competition saw food and drink products submitted from a staggering 110 different countries, with more than 14,000 products put through its rigorous blind judging process.

Frasers’ Luxury Christmas Pudding won a Great Taste 1-star award, which represents ‘food and drink that delivers fantastic flavour’. It was described by judges as beautifully balanced and warming, with a generous amount of fruit and a good level of alcohol and spice. They noted its rich appearance and glossy colour, remarking that it was light in texture but indulgent. One judge said it was like a ‘hug in a pudding’ while another commented that it was ‘probably the best Christmas pudding I have had’.

The Christmas puddings are hand-made in Kent by Lisa-Jane Fraser, proprietor of the chic Frasers eco farm and event venue. She said: “I’m thrilled to have won the Great Taste award and to have received such enthusiastic feedback from the judges. I have developed my Christmas pudding recipe over many years, sourcing only the best quality ingredients and tweaking it many times to get it exactly how I want it, with just the right balance in terms of flavour and aroma. Great Taste is the most recognised accolade for taste and quality in the food and drink world, so getting this award is a real honour.”

The 1lb Luxury Christmas Puddings cost £12.50 each and are available via the new Frasers At Home menu, which provides a luxury dining experience with dishes lovingly prepared at Frasers for enjoyment in the comfort of home.
