Hever Festival Theatre, the open air theatre set in the stunning grounds of Hever Castle, is back for 2019…and it’s bigger, better and longer than ever (4 May to 30 August) with highlights that include Britain’s Got Talent winner
Lee Ridley aka
Lost Voice Guy, national treasure, broadcaster and journalist
Jeremy Vine, and icons of jazz
Mica Paris, Courtney Pine (with special guest
Omar) and
Miloš Karadaglić performing as part of the Rye International Jazz and Blues Festival.
Perennial favourite, Hever’s own
Last Night of the Proms will return and
Lee Mead, who shot to prominence after winning the BBC series ‘Any Dream Will Do’, will bring his show
My Story: A Dream That Became a Reality where Lee will talk intimately about the magic moments, the highs and lows, as well as singing many of our favourite songs.
The programme of family shows and events has been extended this year to include productions to appeal to a broader range of ages including
Horrible Histories: Brand New Barmy Britain,
Wimpy Kid Show and
Elmer The Elephant Show.
There are also plays, a plethora of world-class tribute acts, jazz, opera, comedy, classical music and a series of contemporary films.
