January News from edibleculture

We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas. We want to thank all of you who came Christmas shopping with us, supporting local businesses and makers in the process.

We've had some beautiful days this January - and with a fairly mild week ahead, there are plenty of opportunities to get out in the garden. Check out our new feature 'My Edible Garden' to discover what you can do on your allotment or veg patch throughout the year. There's even some jobs you can do in January!

After the busy-ness of Christmas, we are busy planting out orchards for our clients, as it's the perfect time of year to get those sleeping trees in the ground before they wake up ready for spring. We do a full orchard planning and planting service, so please do get visit our website with us to find out more. As we are out planting, we have adjusted our opening hours, please see below for our Winter business hours.

Of course, the winter is the toughest time for our local wildlife. Many birds become dependent on us putting food out for them. Don't forget we have birdseed, peanuts and fat balls in our Wildlife shop - and a great selection of nesting boxes ready for the spring.
