Kent Crisps launches new flavour

Kent Crisps launches new flavour with heritage imagery Kent Crisps new flavour, Ham and Mustard was launched on Saturday 10th February at Pork & Co, 25-27 Sun St, Canterbury CT1 2HX. The launch location tied in perfectly with the stunning image of the iconic Canterbury Cathedral on the packet, reflecting Kent Crisps ethos to drive tourism and promote the county of Kent. Canterbury visitors experienced a giant wall of Ham and Mustard boxes covering the front three shop windows of Pork & Co and were showered with sample packs. This is the seventh flavour to join the range of Kent Crisps, who are well known for producing quality products and promoting the county in the UK and abroad has added a seventh flavour to its range. Laura Bounds, who took over as Owner and Managing Director in April last year, went to the experts when it came to deciding on the perfect blend to get the flavour spot on. She worked alongside Sam Deeson, pork enthusiast and owner of Pork & Co a restaurant serving homemade dishes made from their Pork which is free range and rare breed. Sam Deeson, Owner of Pork & co said: “It was a privilege to host the launch event and great to see the final product after working with Laura and her team on developing the flavour. The final taste certainly reflects the extensive process we went through to deliver a great new product to crisp lovers everywhere!” Current flavours include Sea Salt and Vinegar with Biddenden Cider, Roast Beef and Spitfire Ale (with the ale from the Shepherd Neame brewery) and Ashmore Cheese & Onion, with the cheese being produced by the Cheesemakers of Canterbury. Laura Bounds, Owner and Managing Director of Kent Crisp and Kentish Oils said: "It was great meeting so many members of the public at the weekend, not only to get the thumbs up on our new flavour but also to gain more valuable feedback. This flavour was developed as a result of listening to our consumers and research showing us that whilst other producers are coming up with weird and wonderful flavours, our customers enjoy a more traditional flavour Ham & Mustard crisps are priced at RRP 85p available in cases of 20x 40g and are gluten and dairy free. Kent Crisps are currently available from a number of outlets across the UK including; selected Waitrose stores, The Southern Coop, Jempsons, English Heritage and hundreds of independent pubs and retailers across the UK. kentcrisps.com
