Kentish Pip go wild with new cider “Dappler”

Kentish Pip are a craft cider company on a mission - ‘’To produce the next generation of British Cider”. With growth of over 94% in 2018, their fresh approach to the category is changing people’s perceptions of what cider is. Dappler a dry, wild fermented cider, is the latest release in a range of craft keg and 330ml canned ciders. Kentish Pip produce all their cider at Woolton Farm in Kent where they also grow a wide variety of dessert and heritage cider apples. The range is distinguished by the variety of apples used as well as production techniques. They press fresh apples and ferment the whole juice often in single varieties, the same techniques used in the wine industry. Their style is defined by clean, fresh and fruit forward ciders. Sam Mount, Managing Director at Kentish Pip says: “We want our customers to taste the fruit first. We have an amazing range of varieties to work with and their characteristics must shine through. Dappler is crafted from two wild fermentations combining full fruit apple varieties; Charles Ross, Zari and Greensleaves with traditional cider apples Major, Kingston Black and Browns. It’s an artisan approach, but it’s stamped with our contemporary house style.” In a bold move they have moved all their products to 330ml cans. Sam says: “The cider industry needs to break its shackles, it won’t survive if it just plugs the traditional route or continues to compromise quality with low juice content glucose wines.' Dappler is a vivid and complex weave of wild and fresh Apple. A contemporary dry cider with flecks of bright green and red apple, bouncing off youthful tannins. It joins the craft keg range alongside High Diver (Cox and Bramley) and Skylark (Full bodied and tannin driven). Also in cans as well as Dappler are Wild Summer, Craftsman, High Diver and Skylark. Dappler is available in 30L Kegs from Monday 5th March and 24 x 330ml cans from Monday 25th March Find Out More: www.kentishpip.co.uk
