Kenward Trust is a charity that helps save the lives of those affected by drug and alcohol addictions. The funding for specialist drugs and alcohol has been continuously decreasing over the past four years, so whilst they do receive some statutory funding, this is insufficient to cover the breadth of complex and long-term support work that the Trust undertakes with so many individuals. Therefore, to try to cover some of this deficit they opened Sage & Time Café at their site in Yalding in early 2016.
Penny Williams, Chief Executive of Kenward Trust stated that:
“As Sage & Time Café grew, and we extended our offering with alpacas, a function room and charity shop we realised this extended further than just a café, and so Kenward Place was born.”
All funds raised in Kenward Place go directly towards helping Kenward Trust provide the best care possible to those using their services and ultimately help them to continue saving lives. They host four main events throughout the year, Walk on the Wildside in April, Classic Cars in September, and their Firework Spectacular and Christmas Fair in November to raise awareness of the brand, and are open 7 days a week for visitors.
