Let’s Feel Good in 2022!

Floortje, CEO of Produced in Kent talks about all the things we have to look forward to in 2022...

With the days ever so slowly becoming a little bit longer, and the first (very early) flowers appearing on the Camelia in my garden, thoughts of beach picnics, country walks, garden BBQs and lazy Sunday lunches in the village pub are starting to dart around in my head, and I hope in yours, too!

What better moment than a cold and wet February afternoon to start planning your social calendar for 2022! Have a browse in our events calendar on the website – after two years of restrictions, our member producers, pubs, cafes, restaurants and home & lifestyle businesses are raring to go and have so many fantastic experiences on offer: from creative workshops to foraging walks, to wine tastings and cider making – there is something for everyone.

Keep an eye out for #FeelGood on social media – throughout the year we’ll share lots of tips on things to do, eat and drink that make you feel good: in yourself, about supporting the local economy, helping others, protecting the countryside and being more sustainable.

Through our brand-new monthly ‘Flavour of the Month’ newsletter we will keep you updated of all the seasonal products, events and experiences you can indulge yourself in. Our February Flavour is of course Valentine’s Day and packed with ideas on how to treat your loved one. Enjoy!

And why not venture to our shop at Bluewater during half term to find the perfect Valentines gift? From snacks and treats, bubbles and beauty products, to craft ales and condiments to accompany your meal if you’re cooking at home.

The team at Produced in Kent is already busy preparing for some larger county events further down the calendar it will be involved with this year. We very much hope to see you at the Kent County Show: 8, 9 & 10th July at Detling, The Wine Weekend: 16th July at Sessions House, Maidstone, and Canterbury Food and Drink Festival: 23, 24 & 25th September at Dane John Gardens Canterbury - save the dates in your diary!

Last but not least, please don’t forget to cast your vote in The Taste of Kent Awards to support all those wonderful food and drink businesses who make us #FeelGood again!
