Lower Ladysen Maize Maze!

It takes 750,000 Maize plants to create a maze of 8 acres. Yes, that is 4 professional football pitches of maize maze for everyone to explore this summer at Lower Ladysden Farm. We will be opened on the 20th July and will be selling maze adventure tickets throughout the summer holidays. There is a quiz to take as you traverse around the maze, packed full of information on the lunar landings and checking your knowledge of space exploration to date. The farm shop has berry snack pots and also some junior explorer lunch packs to keep maze explorers fuelled on their adventure and there is a great cup of coffee and cake or a cream team as a reward for bigger visitors waiting in our new coffee shop. We are offering a special package to those who work for the NHS, in the emergency services or the armed forces – you can explore the maze for free. Just present your service identification and you’ll just need to pay for the rest of the party, a small way of us saying thank you for all that you do. We will open the maze again for Halloween this year and we will soon be sharing more details about our spooky Halloween half term goings on and Fright Night specials events featuring lots of alien goings on within the maze. If you like a good fright you wont be disappointed! This is the third year we have planted a bespoke Maize maze; in the last two years our charity partners have been the air ambulance & the Royal British legion and visitors have helped raise funds for these vital good causes. This year we are supporting the Goudhurst Scout group & helping them pay for their fantastic up-grade to their meeting hall. We still have the last bit of a loan to pay off for our HQ extension and this will make such a difference”.
