Live music, quiz nights, wine tastings, a beer and BBQ festival and more - there's plenty to look forward to in Faversham this June
Independent food hall Macknade is welcoming in the summer season with a vibrant programme of events throughout June. From live music and quiz nights to guided wine tastings, seasonal workshops and the much anticipated return of their Beer & BBQ Festival, Macknade continues to bring the community together through memorable food and drink experiences.
Friday Night Live with Relton Friday 5th June | 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Macknade's Food Village welcomes local musician Relton for an evening of live music, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed Friday night of food and drink. The Food Village is fast becoming a summer hotspot for locals, looking to soak up evening sun alongside great street food, drink and live music.

Get Quizzical with Jimbo! Saturday 6th June | 7pm
Macknade invites guests to put their knowledge to the test at a lively general knowledge quiz in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation. The quiz will be hosted by James 'Jimbo' Roberts of Quiz Nights with James - widely regarded as one of the biggest and best quiz events in the county. The evening promises clever questions, unexpected twists and plenty of laughs. The Food Village will remain open until 9:00pm, offering a variety of food options for teams to enjoy before or during the quiz.
£5 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Meningitis Research Foundation.

Iberian Wine Tour - Portugal Friday 26th June | 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Macknade continues its Iberian wine series with an exploration of Portugal's diverse and evolving wine regions. Despite its modest size, Portugal boasts over two hundred indigenous grape varieties, producing a striking contrast of styles - from the crisp whites of Vinho Verde to the powerful reds of the Douro and Alentejo. Guests will be guided through a curated selection of whites and reds by Macknade's resident wine expert Rupert Nicholson, showcasing the depth, character and potential of Portuguese wine, accompanied by delicious nibbles prepared by the Macknade deli team.

Beer & BBQ Festival Saturday 27th June | 12pm - 9pm
Macknade's much-anticipated Beer & BBQ Festival returns for 2026, bigger than ever with more space, more BBQ food, local producers and a full day of live entertainment. The one-day festival will feature live cooking demonstrations from expert chefs and butchers, craft beer and cider from local producers, and a packed live music schedule including GrooveZoo, Heroes, The East Kent Rock Choir and the return of Jam Sandwich to Faversham.
Visitors can explore BBQ brands such as Big Green Egg, enjoy street food from Food Village traders and guest BBQ vendors, with family friendly children's activities on throughout the day. Multiple bars will be available serving beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks, alongside exclusive festival-only retail offers.

Food Confidence Series - Capture Summer Flavour Sunday 28th June | 10:30am
June marks one of the most abundant moments in the seasonal food calendar and Wasted Kitchen's Food Confidence Series invites guests to learn how to make the most of it. Led by Katy Newton - founder of Wasted Kitchen - this hands-on workshop explores simple and accessible ways to preserve summer flavours, including infused vinegars, cordials, fruit liqueurs and freezer-friendly ideas. Taking place at Macknade, the session is designed for anyone keen to build their confidence in the kitchen, reduce waste and embrace seasonal cooking.
