Matt Sworder holds talk & book signings in Whitstable

Matt Sworder to hold evening talk and book signings at Harbour Books in Whitstable Matt Sworder, chef owner of The Corner House Restaurants in Canterbury and Minster, will be sharing the inspiration behind his first ever cook book at Harbour Books in Whitstable on Thursday 18 July. The Corner House Cookbook was launched in May and has been receiving excellent feedback from diners and food lovers. Matt will talk about how the book came about, how it reflects the ethos of The Corner House restaurants and his experience as a chef turned restaurant owner. Time will also be allocated to questions and answers. Featuring more than 40 recipes, including the restaurants’ most popular dishes, the cookbook also celebrates the very best of Kent’s produce with profiles of the many local businesses that supply the restaurants. The recipes are accompanied by beautiful and tempting photography and given a rating of easy, medium or difficult, however, all are well within the reach of a keen home cook. Matt commented, “The response to the book has been fantastic and I’m really looking forward to spending the evening at Harbour Books. It’s a lovely book shop and the staff have been hugely supportive from day one. It will be a pleasure to share my experiences, tips and a few Corner House favourites with everyone who attends.” Matt will be bringing along a selection of tasters and drinks will also be provided. He will also be signing books for guests on the evening. The talk will begin at 18.30, tickets are £5 per person and can be purchased directly in the shop, or reserved over the phone (01227 264011). They can also be purchased on EventBright https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/evening-talk-and-tasters-with-matt-sworder-of-the-corner-house-restaurants-tickets-63759351938. Please note that online reservations will incur a booking fee.
