News from Chartham Vineyard

After Covid-19 lockdown, we progress cautiously towards opening up our historic farmyard and vineyard to our friends and visitors. Sales of our wines are available from our shop every Saturday from 10:30 to 5:30. Please note Covid-19 precautions are being taken and so ‘drop-in’ tastings are not available yet. We wanted to let you know that our Pinot Gris 2018 supplies are coming to an end and so if it is your favourite, please order or visit the shop soon. We will let you know when the 2019 vintage is available. Vineyard tours with tastings will be available from August for groups of between 5 to 12 people. Please book by emailing info@charthamvineyard.co.uk or using the contact form on www.charthamvineyard.co.uk Visitors are always free to wander around the demonstration vineyard situated close to the farmyard. Online sales are available for those who are unable to visit us in person https://shop.charthamvineyard.co.uk (we do Click and Collect as well). Art and Wine: We are beginning to plan a programme of exhibitions in our gallery. In the meantime, the gallery will be displaying a collection of oil and watercolour paintings by Richard Goodenough and photographs by Andy Goodenough, all featuring Kentish landscapes. The Vineyard Year: All looking good! We are now over halfway through the year. Vines are vigorously growing towards full height and we are busy controlling the canopy. Leaf stripping continues, exposing the fruit to the sun and creating a good airflow through the canopy, discouraging disease.
