Nightingale Cider Company is proud to announce a series of prestigious awards at the 2025 International Cider Challenge (ICC), reaffirming its place as one of the UK's most exciting and innovative cider producers.

The ICC is globally recognised as one of the most rigorous and respected cider competitions, celebrating quality and excellence in cider-making. Entries are judged through a strict blind tasting process by an international panel of cider experts, including producers, flavour analysts, independent retailers, experienced cider writers, and supermarket buyers.

In this year’s competition, Nightingale Cider Company was honoured with the following accolades:

• Night Bird – Silver, Acid Led Cider
• Wild Disco – Trophy, Acid Led Cider
  • Also Highly Commended for Supreme Champion
• Love Bird – Silver, Rosé Cider
• Bramble Bird – Silver, Flavoured Cider

Following Nightingale’s recent success at the Bath and West British Cider Championships 2025, where Wild Disco claimed Gold and Love Bird took Silver in the open class, these awards add to an already impressive year.

These distinctions reflect the team's ongoing commitment to crafting wild fermented ciders with character, balance, and a strong sense of place. Nightingale’s approach to cider-making, blending traditional methods with a contemporary edge, continues to resonate with both judges and drinkers alike.

Competitions are a fantastic way to gain feedback and improve what we do as cider makers, and give recognition for excellence. As someone who has been involved in judging international competitions for 8 or 9 years now, being on the judging panel has allowed me to experience many different ciders, learn from other judges, hone my palate and therefore improve the qualities of the ciders that we create.”
