It has been 3 years since EdibleCulture launched POSIpot© after we committed to sell no product with single use plastic content.
The POSIpot© has proved to be brilliant, using it at Edibleculture every day since. Thousands of plastic pots have been retained within the nursery to be re-used year after year, and no customers are having plastic waste to dispose of. Since the product’s launch, we have been selling POSIpot© to lots of different growers, nurseries and gardens across the country including The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The National Botanic Garden of Wales and many many more.
That isn’t it! We even have international customers from America, Denmark and Norway! The interest in selling plants plastic free is high, with people choosing to break to mould and be revolutionary. Gunn Hagen from Hagen I Hagen nursery in Norway, recently sent us a photo of a garden show she was attending in Oslo. You can see our POSIpots being used for her plants. The feedback was great too!
This June, we will be attending BBC Gardeners’ World Live as a feature to swap visitors plants from plastic to POSIpot©. The show approached us to do this to reduce the amount of plastic leaving the show, and to be able to demonstrate how many pots are used over a 4-day show. All the plastic pots will then be sent for recycling. We are looking forward to getting POSIpot© out to many more people.
